Marjorie A. King, 91, of Davenport, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Alverno Nursing Home Clinton, IA. Visitation will be 1 – 2Pm Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the Runge Mortuary. A 2:00PM Committal service will be held at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery where burial will follow. On line condolences may be made at www.rungemortuary.com.
Marjorie was born April 25, 1922 in Davenport to Oral & Alice Chrisinger. She was later adopted by her mother’s second husband, Clarence Yeager. Marjorie was a 1940 graduate of Davenport High and on July 6, 1946 she married Albert King. The couple resided in Davenport for 60 years before his death in 2006.
Survivors include 3 sons Alan King Richmond, TX, Michael (Barbara) King Stockton, IL, and Joel King Bettendorf, IA; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one great great grandson; 2 brothers Robert (Juanita) Yeager and Clarence (Mary) Yeager; and a sister Marilyn Westerhoff.
