Marlene J. Wilson

Visitation will be 4:30pm to 6:30pm Tuesday Nov. 23 at the Runge Mortuary & Crematory. The funeral service will be 10:00am Wednesday, Nov. 24 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Johns United Methodist Church, Davenport or the American Diabetes Association.

Marlene was born May 26, 1940 in Clinton, IA to Marvin & Mildred (Farber) Dohse. She graduated from DeWitt High in 1958 and went to work at Davenport Bank until her marriage to Melvin O. Wilson on Dec. 14, 1968, in Davenport. Along with Melvin they owned/operator the Probstei Inn, Davenport until retiring in 1990. Melvin preceded Marlene in death on Dec. 24, 2004. Marlene was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church, Davenport and an avid Hawkeye and Chicago Cubs fan.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Kevin Blake, grandchildren, Garrett, Sarah, and Sean. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 2 sisters, and a brother.
