Martha K. Shaffer, 92, of Davenport died Thursday, September 15, 2011 at home. Funeral services will be at 11:00AM Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Robinson Lytle Funeral Home in Indiana, PA. Visitations will be 3-6 p.m. Sunday (9/18) at The Runge Mortuary and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday (9/20) at Robinson Lytle Funeral Home. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Indiana, PA. She was born February 7, 1919 in Smithport, PA, the daughter of George and Hazel (Houck) Bone. She was united in marriage to Ralph Shaffer on June 15, 1938 in Indiana, PA. He preceded her in death in 1997.

She was employed as a cook for the Tick Tock Restaurant, Davenport, for many years. She enjoyed baking, canning and making cookies.

Those left to honor her memory are her children, Betty Mumau, Indiana, PA; Sally Patterson, Davenport; Lee (Linda) and Richard (Diane) both of Davenport; Jake, Davenport; 15 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and 9 great, great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by daughter, Martha J. Wernecke; three grandchildren, John Robert Wernecke, Rick R. Patterson, and Sandra (Bo) Glines; brothers, Tom Bone and Don Bone; and sisters, Margaret Fisher and Jane Fancella.
