Marvin was born on July 19, 1944 in Davenport, IA to Marvin and Myrtle (Pierce) Petre. He was united in marriage to Judith Leek on January 23, 1965 in Davenport. Marvin worked as a flooring installer for Northwest Carpets for 49 years. He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Davenport. Marvin enjoyed carpentry projects and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He did his best to make his wife and family happy.
