

Mary Ann Carstens “Momo”, 88, of Davenport passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Good Samaritan with family by her side. Mary was well known as “Momo” and was a beautiful Cajun woman. Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Monday, February 20, 2017 at the Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at 11:00 am. Mary was born on June 7, 1928 in Fordoche, LA daughter of Theodore and Elise Thibodeaux. She married Edward Carstens on July 28, 1945 until his passing in 2005. She worked at Alcoa then became a full time mom.
She also worked every election. She enjoyed camping, bowling, bus trips, traveling, her Cajun music, and especially spending time with her family and friends.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Mary Sue Frazier-Fuller, Moline; son, Kim (Gina) Carstens, Bettendorf; grandchildren, Dawn (Mike) Birkinbine, Micki Fuller, Mark (Kristi) Carstens and Melissa (Will) Strutz; nine great grandchildren and one on the way; seven great great grandchildren and one on the way; sister, Juneest Cox and brothers, Gino and Theo Thibodeaux.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, brothers and son, Carl.
She loved her family intensely, they were her pride and joy.
