

Mary Lee (Weston) Cooper, 77, of Davenport, passed away Friday, March 6, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. Visitation will be Friday, March 13, 2026, from 4 pm until 7 pm at The Runge Mortuary. Cremation rites will be provided. Memorials may go to either the Davenport Legion Post #26 Women’s Auxiliary or the VFW Post #9128 Auxiliary.
Mary was born in Des Moines, IA on March 8, 1948. She graduated from Davenport West High School and went on to graduate from Marycrest College with her Bachelor of Arts degree. She married Rolland Cooper of Davenport.
She started her career as a loan officer for The Davenport Bank & Trust and later for the RIA Credit Union. Her most recent job had been working as a supervisor at the Campus Health Center at Palmer College. She worked there many years before retiring.
Mary was very active and big supporter of the Davenport American Post #26 Legion where she belonged to the Women’s Auxiliary. Her greatest joy was found in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Rolland, children: Jennifer (Chad) White, Bettendorf, Naida Cooper, Davenport and Chris (Lauren) Cooper, Davenport; grandchildren: Mekenna Shimp, Peyton Shimp (fiancé, Emily). Toni Reimers, Presley Reimers (fiancé, Jared) and Pamela White, great grandchildren: Rhett, Paisley, Kinsley, Brynley and Asher along with many extended family members. Her parents, Marian and Jess Beadle and sister, Murrell Beadle preceded her in death.
