

Mary Clara Mangels, 70, of Davenport, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Genesis Medical Center – East Campus in Davenport. A private family service will be held. Visitation will be held from 4:00 -7:00 pm on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at the Runge Mortuary.
Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com.
Mary was born on January 30, 1945 in Davenport, IA to the late Lorna Iva Levers-Mangels-Alderman and Ernie Mangels.
Mary was a cook and worked at the Wishbone Inn for many years, the Tick Tock Restaurant for ten years and then retired from the President Riverboat in 1995. She enjoyed arts and crafts with her longtime friend, Doris. She also enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. In her younger years she liked to ride motorcycles.
Mary is survived by two sons, Jerald Edwin (Polly) Mangels, Davenport and Dale Eugene Mangels, VanBuren, AR; two daughters, Dianna Marie (Rick) Jackson and Theresa Lynn (David) Baker, both of Kokomo, IN; 19 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Ernest Lee (Butch) Mangels, Sr.; a grandchild, Christopher John Mangels; a great great grandchild, Bentley Lee Schau; a nephew, Ellery Lawrence Mangels and her friend, Elvis.
