

Mary Ann Martin, 80, of Davenport, passed away peacefully in her home on May 10th. Cremation is being handled by Runge Mortuary and a Celebration of Life will be held at Izaak Walton League, 8440 N. Harrison Street, Davenport on Sunday, June 22nd from 12-4.
Mary was born in Waterloo, IA, on June 20, 1944, to Herbert & Kathlyn Siefken (Squire). She graduated from Rock Island High School in 1962 and in 1964 was united in marriage to William David Martin at Grace United Methodist Church and shared a life together for 60 years.
Mary was a real people person and enjoyed assisting people in her different careers endeavors. She started her employment at the Rock Island Arsenal, was in retail and bartended part time ending her career taking care of “her guys” driving a Hasty Tasty Mobile Food truck to many local employers in both Iowa and Illinois.
From a very young age Mary had a love for animals but specifically horses. Dave and Mary established a well-respected Horse Breeding and selling operation. Her other hobbies included playing pool, bowling and spending time with many close friends and family.
Mary is survived by her husband William (Dave) Martin; a daughter Tisha Bousselot (Darin) of Eldridge, IA, a son John Martin of Blue Grass, IA, sister-in-law Rebecca Bruno (Steve), five grandchildren; Travis Childs, Kayla Caudill (Chris), Cole Bousselot (Lauren); Jessi Felderman (Kurt) & Samantha Martin; great grandchildren as well as many nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Kathlyn Siefken (Squire) and a sister Sandra Ernat and brother-in-law Harry Ernat.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her name to King’s Harvest Pet Shelter.
