Mary Lucille Schall, Age 86, of Davenport, Iowa passed away on Tuesday October 22nd, 2024. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 29th, 2024 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at The Runge Mortuary. She will be laid to rest in Mt Calvary Cemetery with a private family burial. Memorials may be made to the family.
Mary Lou was born on October 30th, 1937 to Alfred and Earline (Ravis) Judge in Fulton IL. She grew up in Davenport where she attended Immaculate Conception Academy. She was employed by Bawden Printing in Eldridge, Iowa where she worked in the bindery department for over 22 years. She also spent time at Hardee’s making their biscuits from scratch for several years. It is said that people could tell the difference when she made the biscuits!
Mary Lou was an avid bowler and was part of the Davenport leagues for over 40 years and attended many state tournaments. She spent many hours Crocheting blankets, scarfs, mittens and hats for family members, friends and pet dogs. She was a big Chicago Cubs Fan and attended several games, spring training in Arizona with her daughter Tricia and didn’t miss a game on the television. Her latest passion was watching Caitlin Clark in the WNBA. Every year she looked forward to holiday baking day with family. She also loved spending time at family gatherings.
She was affectionately known to all as "Gramma Lulu" and those left to cherish her memory include her children, Debbie (Mike) Crisci of Davenport, IA, Hal Wiese of Davenport, IA, Lisa (of the late Jim) Dexter of Summerfield, FL, Jay (Angie) Harris of Blue Grass, IA, Tricia (Matt) Dahl of Conifer, CO, Ronnie Schall of Davenport, IA, and Jamie Schall of Knoxville, IL; sibling, Maureen (Gary) Heck of Richmond, VA; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; many loving nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Bella.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Patricia Brown and Romona Wilkerson; and son-in-law, Jim Dexter.
