Max was a humble and hardworking man. He lived life valuing honesty, loyalty and love. He was employed by John Deere for 36 years. For many of those years, he worked 3rd shift so he could take his children to school and attend their evening sports activities. He was an amazing carpenter completing many projects around the house. He had a passion for classic cars, enjoyed reading Louis Lamour and watching western movies as well as NASCAR. Most recently, he loved spending time on the internet emailing every single forward he received, and watching the Cubs with Monica. Above all, he loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. We love him and miss him and now have comfort and peace knowing his hope for heaven has been fulfilled. Dad would say: “I hope the Good Lord will come down and get me.”
Those left to honor his memory include his wife of 50 years, Monica; his children John (Bindu Gangadharan) Holeman , David Holeman, Randy (Donna) Holeman, Joe (Kelly) Holeman, Jerry (Cindy) Holeman , Teresa (Sam) Crowder, Lisa (Derek) Frantz, Laurie Holeman, Mike Holeman, and Matt Holeman; grandchildren: Maya, Josh, Ryan, Rebecca, Kayla, Abigail, Mackenzie, Gabriel, Max, McKenna, and Tanner; his brothers Haskell (Georgia) Holeman, Harry (Ona) Holeman, Rex (Beth) Holeman; his sister Dixine (Ivan) Mills. His parents preceded him in death.
The family would like to offer their deepest gratitude to Genesis Hospice, especially to Nurse Kim and Chaplain Bruce for their loving support during this difficult time.
