Maxine Linden was born in Princeton, IL, on April 7, 1927, to William and Alma Riepe. On December 8, 1944, she married Glen Leo Linden at St. John’s Methodist Church in Davenport, IA. He passed away in 1999.
She attended Davenport schools and had a wonderful life, enjoying her family while also working part-time at Northwestern Bell Telephone, Red Jacket Pump Mfg., Blackhawk Travel Agency, and Dr. Robert Folsom in Marco Island, FL (all for at least 10 years each). Each day was a gift to Maxine and she loved following her husband in to the adventure of camping, boating, and flying, always remarking “I wish I could do it all over again”.
Her family was her life however, and she is survived by son, Jack and his wife, Donna, granddaughter, Dawn (Mike) Kahler, Bellevue, NE, grandson, Jeff (Mindy) Linden, Gardner, KS, and great grandchildren: Bailey and Kylie Kahler, and Maddy and Jake Linden.
She was always grateful to have been born in this wonderful country and especially the beautiful Midwest.
