Maylene Beeth

Maylene Beeth, 88, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away on July 10, 2026 at the Kahl Home. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 17, 2026 at Weerts Funeral Home. Cremation rites have been accorded. Online, condolences and fond memories may be expressed at www.WeertsFH.com

Born July 23, 1937, in Guin, AL, Maylene was the daughter of Icy Lee Frye and Walter Frye. When she was about eight years old, her family moved North to Iowa, where she would grow up, graduate from high school, and build a life defined by devotion to family and an unmistakably candid spirit.

Throughout her working years, Maylene held a variety of retail positions, bringing her outgoing nature to each place she served. Among the jobs she held were with A&W, Model Dairy, Kmart, and Cracker Barrel.

Maylene found her greatest joy in time spent with those she loved, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren—whether gathered for the holidays, traveling together to AL, OK, CO, HI, or her favorite place on the beach in Florida or simply sitting together and chatting away. Maylene also loved a daily dose of Pepsi throughout the day. In the everyday moments as much as the special ones, she made life feel full.

Maylene took great pride in dressing well and keeping her looks in order, and she loved to go shopping. Her home reflected her care and attention, especially as she enjoyed decorating for every holiday. She also enjoyed taking care of her flowers and plants.

Survivors include her children, Tony (Robin) Carrillo, Lisa (Alan Happel) Rankin, and Tanya Campbell; grandchildren, Brett (Ysi), Luke, Zach, Cody (Allison), and Connor; and her great-grandkids, William, Oliver, Vera, Brooklyn, and Brody.

Maylene was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Erlean, Iva Lee, and Lowell.
