Born February 26, 1987, in Ft. Meyers, FL, Melissa was the daughter of Darryl C Hoffman and the late Jacqueline S. Bell. Throughout her years working at various hotels and Casey’s locations, Melissa’s glittery spirit and naturally warm way of connecting with others left a lasting mark on friends, coworkers, and even strangers. Her presence could brighten a room, and her care for others was felt in the everyday moments—often delivered with unmistakable energy, including the kind that made passengers hold on for dear life when she was driving.

Melissa enjoyed crafting projects—especially those that always included glitter—and she treasured the time she spent with her children, who were the center of her life.

Melissa is survived by her three greatest gifts: Tristan Andrews of Rock Island, IL, Grayson Hoffman of Davenport, IA, and Alivia Hoffman of Davenport, IA; her father, Darryl (Nina) Hoffman of Davenport, IA; her sister, Erica Springer of Davenport, IA; her nephew, Christian (Chyenne) Gohn of Tucson, AZ; her niece, Alexa (Cole) Otterson of Summerville, SC; step siblings, Jen Wayne and Amber; special kinship, Brandon Abrahamsen of Moline, IL; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jacqueline; her paternal grandparents, Chet & Millie Hoffman; and Vernon & Shirley Bell.
