I'm sorry but did Mike ever drive a semi truck for a company out of Iowa? Maybe back in 1987 or 88?  Thank you. My condolences... 

Spent several visits with my Pennsylvania Deere customers and Mike was always well received, polite, entertaining, and courteous.  Mike always enjoyed making the Deere training videos.

I was so saddened to hear of Mike's passing.  He was always a gentleman, kind and engaging, and ever so helpful.  And his passion for work and life was contagious.  He will be sorely missed.  All our love and prayers to your family,  Mike and Cindy Thayne

So sorry to hear about your Dad. He was a great guy and I always enjoyed talking to him. He always made you feel that he was glad to see you. Plus everybody that knew him knew to watch for the handshake! 

I was ever so shocked to hear the news of Mike's passing when I received the phone call from Pam on the day he died.  From our Mackinaw days I remember the times  growing up with Mike and Sally and Pat.  May the peace be with your whole family during this difficult times,.  Hold on to those memories. Mike has always been and always will be one of my favorite people.  A true professional and an expert when it came to construction equipment.  It was because of him, I could operate an excavator!  I always enjoyed just sitting and chatting with Mike about work, sure, but also about life.  He spoke constantly about his granddaughters whom he loved so very much.  He will be missed.

Rest in peace Mike.  You were the ultimate professional.  More importantly, you exemplified  God's vision for how one should live their life on earth.  Now you are experiencing God's plan for life after.  My sympathies to your family, especially your four granddaughters, who will miss you deeply.

My mother was Mike's mother's sister.  My fondest memories of Mike were from the Father's Day barbeque dinners at his parent's farm front yard.  We were probably 10 years old and had a great time playing and running around with his other cousins.  We would see each other occasionally as the years passed and as he grew into the fine young man, husband, and father that I rarely got to see.  Nevertheless I knew the family and am sure he carried on their work and family love ethic. 

When I started with John Deere Construction 30yrs ago, Mike was one of the first people I met and left a lasting impression on me...always a extra-firm handshake that you must be ready for and a smile that never ended. I was so blessed to work closely with him over the years and was able to learn so much from him...both about John Deere AND about life, attitude, etc. 

Mike will be missed by so so many...but he touched so so many...in ways that he will NEVER be forgotten.

My condolences to the families.  I grew up next farm over from Mike. 1 bus stop away.  Our parents often rotated taking us to grade school sport practices and high school practices.  Many experiences and many laughs.  I had great respect for their parents.   We would occasionally wait for our ride at his grandmothers... who always had a fresh cold coke for us.
I have not seen him in many years but thought of him a lot.  While we shared many good and laughable times, there were times I reflect back and realize how wonderful some of the experiences.  Once our Bus got stuck in the snow, no cells phones or means of communications. Our farm area was very open, houses may be at least a mile apart.   After waiting a while the buss driver accepted Mikes offer to walk home where his dad could return and get us out.   I would guess 2.5 to 3 mile walk in (at least around us) knee deep snow around 4-30 ish pm.  About an hour later his dad showed up driving a road-grader.  In no time we were on our way.  His dad kept an eye on the buss till safe. At the time you think that was good, thanks Mike.  As life goes on I think back at the trust the bus driver had in Mike and the reality of what he did.  I feel blessed to have known him. I have great respect for Mike and his family and share in their grief.

To the Family of Mike Boyle (Sally, Pat, Cousins, Bill and Pam):  While I have not seen Mike for a number of years, I knew the family while growing up and running around Mackinaw...some fun times.  Was so shocking to hear of his passing.  Cherish the memories and my prayers will be with you all during these difficult times. 

May you be comforted by the wonderful memories and the incredible love that you shared of a Father, Grandfather, Brother, Cousin and Friend.  The whole family will be in my prayers.   He is very much at peace and reunited with his loving wife.

I worked with Mike for over 20 years. He was one of our "founding members" of the product consultant team and during our meetings we always had a competition of who could put on the best "show" in terms of engaging and teaching the audience about our fine Deere iron. Mike would win often due to his passion, tenacity and enthusiasm. I remember when I first started and spent a few weeks with Mike learning to operate the iron he was patient, kind and was wanting to help everyone around him to the best of his abilities. He was highly respected by the Deere dealers I interacted with.  Just being around Mike made us all better people. I will always remember he was one of the best at opening a beer can with the blade on the grader! A wonderful man and we are all better having spent time with him. My appreciation to his family for sharing him with all the Deere family.  

Mike was a great mentor and friend.  I learned a lot from him about construction jobs, excavators and bring a stand up guy.  Conversations with Mike started with work, but quickly moved to asking about how my wife and son were doing and was a regulator visitor to see us when he was in town.  Mike was a great teacher for so many folks and one of the most optimistic guys I've ever met.  
I'll miss your Oooooo Weeeee! on all things exciting.

I had the great privilege of knowing Mike and learning from him!  His style was always good natured and full of fun.  He had the patience of a saint when it came to teaching this not so technical gal about John Deere equipment.  Just seeing Mike put a smile on my face every single time.  He was one of the BEST guys I've ever been blessed to know!

I had the pleasure of working alongside Mike Boyle the last 5+ years of his Deere career before he retired as he would travel with me to work with large construction customers to help sell/support John Deere equipment. I will never forget his passion for tractors and his St. Louis Cardinals!!! We had several jabs at each other as I am  a die-hard Cubs fan...
Mike was one of the kindest men I've ever met and he is not replaceable. Aside from his passion he had great knowledge and caring as a fellow Deere employee and friend. I really felt bad for Mike when Sharon passed away as he cared deeply for her and the rest of the family that he so loved.

I met Mike over 20 years ago at a customer event at John Deere. Mike was one of the most passionate people about John Deere equipment that I have ever met. It was always a pleasure to attend one of his sessions or to have him out on a Job site with customers as he really knew his stuff.  All of us at Leslie Equipment will miss him dearly. 

I am very fortunate to have known Mike for the better part my my 37 years at John Deere Construction.   He was a true friend, and great coworker, always willing to help anyone out, shoulder more than his share of the load and brighten everyone's day.  He was an enthusiastic instructor, and made learning fun for all who were lucky enough to hear him.  He made Deere a better company.  We'll miss him.  Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family.

I once met Mike unexpectantly while I was alone in Phoenix awaiting a connecting flight to Moline.  He made the evening so much more pleasant.  We spoke about the next trips he would be going on with his family.  As a matter of fact, he spoke about his family the whole way!  He was so proud of you, Kelly and Scott.  He lived his life in an exemplary way and was was humble about it.  Lessons we can all learn from him!!  Love, prayers and support to you in this most difficult time.  Barb

From his high school days through his college years, and I'm sure thereafter,  Mike was great guy with a big heart and loving spirit.  If a good time was to be had, Mike was at the head of the pack.  

I can only wish his family the best in the years to come without their wonderful father and grandfather. 

Condolences go out to the Boyle family members, he will always be a a part of my Deer Creek Mackinaw HS and Western Illinois University memories.    

I started to work with Mike previous to 2008 when I started full time with Deere. What a great man he was. He was always happy and concerned about the people that were around him. He would always build people up and help give them the confidence they needed to help them succeed. I used to walk with him in the mornings in Arizona before work and I always enjoyed our 1 on 1 conversations.  I always looked forward to working with Mike and learning whatever he had to teach me at the time. This great man will be missed by family and friends. My sincere condolences to Mikes family. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I had the gift of knowing Mike for over 25 years.  He brought a level of professionalism and true enthusiasm to his job that the business world needs more of today.   He could help the greenest of sales people understand why the Deere product was the best there is.  His level of work ethic was amazing and set a great example for those around him.

Mike was always there for me... whether I was trying to get home from a week of traveling or just in the office. Mike had that specilal ability to always make time for you.  Mike was a great menator and friend and will be deerly missed. Please know that Angie and I will keep your family in our prayers.

I am so sorry for you loss! Mike was an outstanding person with whom I had the pleasure to work. During our early Deere years, he and I shared many hours on photo shoots, and working together in devloping  John Deere construction equipment advertising materials.  His product, market, and application knowledge and expertise were unsurpassed.  So was his unbridled enthusiasm and always-positive attitude.  He was a pleasure to be around. He will be, and is already, missed. God rest your soul, Mike.
