There will be funeral services at a later date for Michael D. Burgess, 56, of DeWitt, IA. Mr. Burgess passed away on June 2, 2011 in Davenport, IA. Michael Dane Burgess was born in Moline, IL on December 4, 1954, the son of Dale and Betty (Hulett) Burgess. Mr. Burgess served as a private in the United States Marine Corp during Vietnam. In 1984, he married Roberta Beaston in Rock Island, IL. He was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He is survived by his wife: Roberta Burgess of DeWitt; a Daughter: Jessie Burgess of DeWitt; three Sons: Caleb Burgess, Joshua Burgess, Michael Burgess, all of DeWitt; two Sisters: Cindy (Bill) Elliot of Moline, IL, Dale (Mike) Genz of Moline, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents.
