Michael John Janssen, 52, of Davenport, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 at his home. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday October 7th from 3pm to 5pm at Knights of Columbus in Davenport, IA. Burial will be held at a later date
Michael was born in 1966 to John and Dorothy Janssen in Carthage, Illinois. He graduated from Carthage High School in 1984. Mike worked in transportation for most of his life, working as a driver and later in his career as a dispatcher. He was involved with the Knights of Columbus. Mike enjoyed watching NASCAR and baseball, especially the St. Louis Cardinals, as well as being around his friends. He loved being with his family and his two grandsons were his pride and joy.
Mike is survived by his daughter Lydia Janssen; son Andrew (Nikita) Janssen; two grandsons Elijah Janssen and Sebastian Barry; brother James (Jeanne) and nephews Brody and Taylor Janssen. He was preceded in death by his parents.
