Michael Lee Schlegel

Michael Lee Schlegel, 58, of Davenport, Iowa died Saturday, February 4, 2012 at his home. Following cremation, a memorial service will be planned at a later date. There will be no visitation. Mike was the son of Bill and Donna (Wulf) Schlegel. He was married to Pam Brown in 1971, divorced, and later married to Glinda Pearson. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1974. He was employed by the City of Davenport in the 1980’s and then worked various construction jobs. He was most recently working as a janitor at Geezers. Mike was an invaluable caregiver to his mom in her last year of life. He enjoyed NASCAR, professional wrestling, as well as good friends, who were very important to him. He loved to talk about the old days, especially summers spent growing up on family farms and the antics of his favorite cousin, Lee Marlin Wainscott.

Survivors include his father, Bill Schlegel, and his brother, Marty (Sue), all of Davenport. He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna, and ex-wife, Glinda.
