Mikaylah Beth Lynn Bird
April 14, 2007 – January 21, 2023

Mikaylah Beth Lynn Bird, 15, Charlotte, Iowa, took flight from The University of Iowa Children’s Hospital on Saturday, January 21st, 2023.
A private green burial will take place at Casper Creek Natural Cemetery, in Galena, Illinois. There will be a Celebration of Life this Sunday the 29th of January at 3:00p.m at the Millennium Banquet Hall of Goose Lake, Iowa, where all are welcome.
Mikaylah was born April 14, 2007, in Davenport, Iowa, to Michael and Kelly Bird. A sophomore at Northeast Community Schools, in Goose Lake, Iowa, where she was a dedicated, skilled cheerleader. She loved babies, butterflies, and baking. She was the family cake maker for all occasions. Mikaylah loved Nature and Sunsets!
Family members honored to cherish her memory, in addition to her parents, are her sister and best friend, Jordan Bird, her older brother, Talib Bird and her twin brother, Mikah Bird. She was the best aunt to Willow Bird and Juniper Joslin. Her grandparents are Deb and Rick Land and Holly Carleton, and her great grandmother, Nanny Della Bird. Her aunts are Denisha Ford and Constance Carr, and loving uncles are Chad and Sean Jett, Corey Hillman, Tim Snyder, Demetrius Carr, Demario Butler, and Lance Carr.
Cheerleading was a big part of Mikaylahs life, and it was made so much better by doing it alongside her best friend, Olivia, as well as the whole cheerleading squad.
The family would like to thank everyone who has reached out with kind words, thoughts, prayers, and food, as well as the Northeast CSD.
Because music is a big part of our family, memorials may be made to the Playing for Change Organization.
