Mildred was born a daughter of Edward and Helena Howell March 14, 1929 in Long Grove. She was united in marriage to Marvin A. Noll on October 1, 1949 in Davenport. They enjoyed 70 years of marriage until his passing in 2019. Milly began her career working at Bell Telephone Company before leaving the workforce to raise her family. Later she took a more active role in the family owned grocery store S&N Royal Blue Market. After leaving the grocery business she worked at the Davenport West High School cafeteria until retirement. Milly enjoyed gardening and baking. She was known for her famous chocolate chip cookies. She was an avid Lawrence Welk fan and enjoyed several trips to Branson, Missouri with her husband to see live performances. Milly was a longstanding member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She is lovingly remembered by her three sons, Roger (Paula) Noll, Rick (Tammy) Noll and John (Gina) Noll; granddaughters, Annie and Elizabeth Noll, Tammy’s daughters Nicole and Laci and Tammy’s granddaughter Sutton. She was preceded in death by her parents and her stepmother Louise that raised her since the age of 11. She is also preceded in death by her husband; sister, Ruth; stepsisters, Phyllis and Dorothy.
