

Davenport, IA Funeral services for Mildred “Molly” J. Geurink, 92, of Davenport will be 10:30 am on Tuesday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport. Family will greet friends on Monday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Mortuary. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Cunnick - Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.The Angels have taken our Mother from us. Milderd “Molly” Geurink passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2010, at the Good Samaritan Care Center, Davenport. Mildred was born March 2, 1918 in Ayrshire, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Anna (Rodenberg) Lange. She married Harold Geurink August 28, 1940. He preceded her in death on September 8, 1979. Mildred “Molly” farmed with Harold until his death in Blue Grass. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Blue Grass Legion Auxillary, Eastern Iowa Polka Club, German American Pioneers Society, Thirty Lane Bowlers, Golden Square Dance Club and various card clubs. Those left to honor her memory are a son, Robert (Sharon) Geurink, Blue Grass; daughters, Arlene (Alvin Jr., Chuck)Ehlers, Blue Grass, grandchildren, Denise (Greg) Frauen, their children Jamie & Kody, and Brian (Angela Ehlers, their daughter Rachel; Alice (Robert) Crawford, Reynolds,Il, grandchildren Lauren (Mary Kay) Crawford, their children, Lucas & Logan, Lori (Todd) Walker, their childern, Cole, Quinn, & Kate, Lisa (Mike) Mass, their son, Samson and Luci (Ben) Goodnight, their children, Ella & Klay; Artis (Lloyd) Bridge, Taylor Ridge,IL, grandchildren, Angela (Jason) Spackman, their son, Daniel, and Amber Bridge (fiance Robert Smith) and sister Nora Geurink of Davenport.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Fred, sisters, Jennie and Emma.The family would like to Thank Good Samaritan and Genesis Hospice for all the loving care they gave our mother.
