

Funeral services for Millard M. Jones, 90, of Davenport will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14th at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary chapel in Davenport. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Jones passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Center in Davenport. Millard Malvin Jones was born on September 24, 1926 in Phil Campbell, AL, a son of George and Katie (Thomas) Jones. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in January of 1945 during WW II, and served until June of 1947. Millard was united in marriage to Pearl Lilley in December of 1951. He worked as a millwright at Ralston Purina for 42 years prior to his retirement. Along with being an active member for many years of the Izaac Walton League – Davenport Chapter, he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He is survived by his Wife: Pearl Jones of Davenport; Sons: Gary Jones of Council Bluffs, IA, Van Jones, Lee Jones, Terry Jones, all of Davenport; and several grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings: R.C., Alfred, Nora, Edward, Mildred, and Leo.
