Davenport, IA Funeral services for Millard E. Lawson, 68, of Davenport, will be 11:30 am on Monday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary. Burial will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, where military rites will be conducted by the American Legion #26, Davenport. Family will receive friends on Monday from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at the Mortuary. Cunnick - Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.Millard E. Lawson passed away on Friday, October 29, 2010 at his home in Davenport.Millard Ernest Lawson was born on September 21, 1942, son of Millard and Lillian (Rhodes) Lawson. Millard worked maintenance at the Post Office in downtown Davenport. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the D.A.V. He had served in the U.S Air Force during the Vietnam Era.Survivors include his brothers Harold Lawson and Robert Lawson, both of Davenport, Donald Lawson of Michigan City, Indiana and a sister JoAnn Kempt of Davenport.He was preceded in death by his parents a brother Richard and a sister Barbara Jean Lawson.Memorials may be directed to Eagles Nest Veterans Home, Home for Homeless Veterans.Online condolences may be expressed to the family by visiting www.cunnick-collins.com
