Mitsue Mangler

Mitsue Mangler (Enami), 93, of Davenport, IA, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2026, at home surrounded by her loved ones. Private services will be held. She will be laid to rest with her husband at the Rock Island Arsenal National Cemetery.

Mitsue was born June 24, 1933, in Japan. After finishing school, she worked at the officer’s club on the U.S. Army base in Japan. That’s where she met her husband, William Mangler. The two were united in marriage on June 19, 1953, and spent 67 loving years together while raising three children. After moving to America, she handled the bookkeeping for William’s businesses, Kimberly Auto Center and Quad City Brake Supply. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping and traveling.

Mitsue is survived by her children Charles (Connie) Mangler, Janet (Randy) Mitchell, and Gary (Melissa) Mangler; grandchildren Nina, Natasha, Jenna, Jaime, Jake, Ashley, Jarett, and Cameron; great grandchildren Kara Kristen, Austin, Ellie, Jaxson, Mili, Shawn, Avi, Madielena, Esmeralda, Jiya, Archie, and Stella; and several great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
