Nalda Meinhardt

Nalda N. Meinhardt, 86, of Davenport, died Friday, August 20, 2010 at St Mary’s in Davenport. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at 10:30 am at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Davenport. Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 pm at The Runge Mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a favorite charity. Online condolences may be left at www.therungemortuary.com

Nalda was born August 8, 1924 in Scott County, the daughter of Gustav and Anna (Kohrt) Bluedorn. She was united in marriage to Wayne Meinhardt on May 21, 1949 in Davenport. In her earlier years, Nalda was active in the church’s altar and rosary society; she also was a member of the Davenport Does.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Wayne, Davenport, sons: Steven and his wife, Linda, Bettendorf, Joseph and his wife, Lori, Texas, daughter, Carol and her husband, Chris Rowe, West Bend, WI, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Her parents, 3 sisters and a brother preceded her in death.
