

Funeral services for Norma D. Bane, 77, of Davenport will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 7, 2011 at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary chapel in Davenport. Inurnment will be at a later date. Family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the mortuary. Mrs. Bane passed away on Friday, December 31, 2010 at Genesis Medical Center – East Rusholme Street, Davenport. Norma Delores Coon was born in Somers, IA on April 30, 1933, the daughter of Elmer and Mae (Pixley) Coon. In 1952, she married Bobby Lee Bane in Davenport. She worked as a waitress at the former Triangle Truck Port (Harlan’s Truck Port) and in later years at the I-80 Truck Stop. Norma was an avid fan of country music. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and animals. Norma enjoyed spending time with her family, but her greatest love was cheering on the Chicago Cubs. She is survived by her beloved husband, Bobby, of Davenport. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son: Ronnie, a brother: Cecil, and a sister: Carrie.
