

Norma E. Kurth, 92, of Davenport, died Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Ridgecrest Village, Davenport, IA. Per Norma’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial reception will be held at Ridgecrest Village Koning Chapel from 1 to 2 PM Thursday, June 11, 2026 with a service to follow beginning at 2 PM. Burial will be held by family at a later date in Lyman Township Cemetery, Roberts, IL. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Ridgecrest Foundation, or to a charity of your choice. Weerts Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Norma Eileen Davis was born in Ford County, IL, on November 14, 1933, a daughter of Guy and Marguerite (Corbly) Davis. She graduated from Roberts-Thawville High School, Roberts, IL, in 1951. Later, she earned her BA degree from the former Marycrest College, Davenport. She married V. Warren Kurth on January 13, 1963 in Bloomington, IL. Warren died January 16, 2013.
Norma was employed in the Human Resources Department at Bendix/Litton for 30 years, retiring in 1966. She was a member of the Society for Human Resources Management and the Quad-City Merit Employment Council, and Trinity Lutheran Church. Volunteer activities included Trinity Lutheran Church, Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center, Festival of Trees, Hardee’s Golf Classic and Ridgecrest Retirement Community. Norma enjoyed reading, stage plays, golf, gardening, Mah Jongg, and cards.
Survivors include sister-in-law, Christine (John) Kibler, Bloomington, IL; and two nephews, Steve Kibler and Mike Davis. Norma’s husband, parents, and siblings (William, Ronald, and Phyllis Davis), preceded her in death.
