Oliver B. Stoltenberg

Oliver B. “Ollie” Stoltenberg, 91, of Moline, Illinois, formerly of Davenport, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Hope Creek Care Center in East Moline. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Wednesday, July 27, 2016 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel in Davenport. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. Private burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com.

Ollie was born in Davenport on April 18, 1925, a son of Gilbert and Adella Stoltenberg. During World War II he served in the U. S. Navy. In 1994 he retired following 27 years of service with Lujacks. Prior to that he had been employed by the Sieg Co. He married Charlene Isaacson on November 30, 2002 at Salem Lutheran Church in Moline where he was also a member. His hobbies included card playing, golfing and motorcycling.

Survivors include his wife, Charlene; two step-sons: Dennis and Jim Isaacson and a step-daughter, Sharon Isaacson; a brother, Curtis Stoltenberg and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his previous wife, Romelle in 1994.
