

Memorial services will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, October 19, 2012 in The Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM, Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the mortuary. Cremation rites will take place after the visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of Cathey or Shay Scott. Born July 30, 1942 in Monroe City, MO to Roy and Imogene (Smith) Scott. He settled in Davenport, Iowa 50 years ago, served in the U.S. Army from September 1966 and was discharged with honors September 1972. He retired from Alcoa Aluminum Co. after 30 years as a maintenance millwright.
Ollie enjoyed camping, fishing, “Da Bears” and most of all he loved his children, grandchildren and all of his many family members.
He is survived by those who loved him: Cathey Scott, Shay, Kassandra, O. J. (Ollie), Charlotte, Wendy, ThiJuan LaMarcus, and Scott. Sisters: Carolyn Jean Williams and Bonnie Wallace, Father-in-law: Richard Shay and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Velma Robinson, Elizabeth Washington, Rosa Harrison. Jacqueline Summers, Daisy Mayfield, Eleanor Collins. BrothersL Emmitt, Samuel, Roy, Rufus and Donald Scott.
