Pamela Sue Slovack, 68, of Bettendorf, passed away in the early morning of Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, after losing her battle with ovarian cancer. Memorials may go to King’s Harvest Animal Shelter.
Pamela was born in Muscatine, IA on April 5, 1955. She was the daughter of George and Anna (Cunningham) Roth. She spent 31 years being a critical mentor to countless men and women in the Alcoholics Anonymous Program. She volunteered at the Scott County Jail to help the inmates with their struggles of addiction.
Pamela’s main hobby was her grandsons! She loved spending time with all of them and is more than guilty of spoiling them from time to time.
Pamela retired from Genesis Medical Center.
Those left to honor her memory include her son, Matthew (Candice) Slovack, daughter, Marie Copenhaver; grandsons: Nathan Slovack, Braden Slovack, and Spencer Copenhaver; brother, Roger Roth, and niece, Kellie Borgrud. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Melodie Roth Borgrud.
She donated her body to the University of Iowa Medical Program so she can educate others even after death. There will be no services at this time. The best way to honor her is to help others when they need it the most and to be an open ear when someone just needs to talk.
May she rest in peace!
