Patricia J. Overy

Patricia J. Overy, 71, of Bettendorf, passed away Monday, October 24, 2016 at the Iowa Masonic Home in Bettendorf. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2016 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com. Patricia was born on October 22, 1945, in Mattoon, IL, a daughter of Robert and Dorothy (Ohmen) Jenkins. She was united in marriage to Robert Overy on May 12, 1962 in Wapella, IL. He preceded her in death on August 17, 1980. She enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with her family. Survivors include one son, Scott (Tammy) Overy, Moberly, MO; four daughters, Cami (Jesus) Martinez, Andalusia, IL, Susan (Luis) Bucksbaum, Wilton, IA, Janet (Ed) Hoyt, Moline, IL and Jennifer (Chris) Schulte, Davenport, IA; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Robert (Gloria) Jenkins, California; sisters, Linda Riva, Clinton, IL, Virginia Benne Buchanan, Farmer City, IL and Barbara (Lee) Sheeley, Bethany, IL. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Iowa Masonic Home for their care and concern.
