Pat was born November 1, 1964 in Algona, Iowa to Margaret and Frank C. Stork. Raised on their farm near Bancroft, Pat graduated from St. Johns High School and attended Loras College in Dubuque, IA where he graduated Magnum Cum Laude.
After college he was employed for many years in restaurant management and also worked in sales for office product dealers in Des Moines and Davenport, IA. When Pat’s father passed he elected to move back to Bancroft to care for his mother on the family farm and this enabled her to live at home until her passing this past August.
Among Pat’s passions were his devotion to family and friends, gardening the land, helping with management of the family farms, the Minnesota Vikings and Iowa Hawkeyes, and his love of animals. When he moved back to Bancroft he acquired a brood of chickens which supplied fresh eggs to many “happy” buyers, a horse he named Quincy, and two dogs; Johnny and Blackie. He also had recently acquired a 1960 Chevy Apache pickup which has a unique history in Forest City, Iowa called “Ole Yeller”. It was in good condition but he was restoring it to his liking.
Pat was active in local gardens clubs in Kossuth County and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #3994 in Bancroft, Iowa.
Pat’s unexpected passing is difficult, but he will be remembered by all who knew him for his unselfish giving spirit and his unforgettable smile. He will be missed.
Pat is survived by his son Evan, sister Rose (Terry) Donahoe, brothers John (Jennifer), Frank (Susan), Tom (Julie), Tony (Sandra), Matt (Jody) and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Steve (Leslie).
