Paul David Kimmel

Paul David Kimmel, 76, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away at home on June 5, 2026 after a long illness. Paul was born in Davenport on March 4, 1950 to John and Joan Kimmel. He devotedly raised his two treasured daughters, Jennifer and Mindy. He and Pam Fenn were married on February 24, 2007 and enjoyed twenty years of love and companionship together before his passing.

Paul was a semi truck driver and always knew what roads to take and how far away you were from home. He came home each night to his loving wife and was in bed before the sun went down. Paul was a simple man with gruff exterior and a soft heart. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, fishing, reading Louis L'amour novels, collecting guns, and watching westerns. He was a lifelong Iowa Hawkeyes and St. Louis Cardinals fan. Most of all, Paul was a loving husband and father, and a doting grandfather. A man of few words, he showed his love to his grandchildren with surprise sweet treats, silly questions, rides to work, and his undivided attention.

Though he endured many illnesses and injuries, Paul was long-suffering and positive. The exceptional caretaking from his wife, Pam, allowed him to live a full and joyful life.

Paul is survived by his wife, Pam; his daughters, Jennifer (Rick) Gott and Mindy (Scott Taylor) Kimmel; Step-children, Tricia Fenn, Jamie Fenn, Elizabeth (Andy) Wagner, and Jennifer (Matthew) Moore; Grandsons, Seth (Terrez) Jackson, Justin Wirt, and Zachary Wirt; One great grandchild, Arya Jackson; Fourteen step grandchildren; and nine step great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his siblings, Deanna (Charles) Denny, Terry Kimmel, John (Katie) Kimmel, Brian Kimmel; Many nieces and nephews; and his dog and companion, Maggie. He will be laid to rest with the ashes of his beloved dog, Daisy.

A service will be held at Weerts Funeral Home on Thursday, June 11th beginning at 2:00 p.m., with a visitation one hour prior at 1:00 p.m.

Per Paul's wishes, family and friends are invited to wear casual dress to the visitation and funeral.
