Family will greet friends on Friday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery, Davenport.Paul passed away on Friday, January 2, 2014 at Genesis Medical Center – East Campus, Davenport. Paul Charles Starkweather was born on June 21, 1957 in Davenport, the son of Alvin and Marilyn (Ague) Starkweather. Paul was a long-time resident of Eldridge, IA. He was employed at numerous businesses, hotels and restaurants in the area. Due to his health issues he has retired. Paul was a member of the Muscatine Amateur Radio Club. He enjoyed talking on his Amateur Ham Radio, his call letters KAORIU. Every day he talked to his fellow operators, family and new friends from around the world. Paul loved visiting his childhood vacation spot in Door County, WI, every year, since he was 10 years old.Survivors include his brother, George Starkweather of Eldridge, IA, sister; Susan (Jeffery) Prizler of Camanche, IA three nieces and seven great nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.Memorials may be made to the family or Genesis Heart Center.
