

Paul Warn Wells, Jr. 75, of Davenport, died Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 11:30 am at The Runge Mortuary.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 pm to 7pm at the mortuary.
Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.

He was born August 16, 1937 in Davenport, the son of Paul W. Sr. and Sarah L. (Bundy) Wells. He married Ruby C. Stratton on June 21, 1958 in Davenport.
While working thirty years at the Moline John Deere Plant as a welder and more recently an inspector, he, along with his wife, owned and operated Wells Lawn and Garden Service. After his retirement, he worked as a tour guide at the Davenport John Deere Plant, worked at Mills Chevrolet; drove bus for Riverbend Transit and worked in public relations for Precision Dental. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, especially deer in Colorado; bowling and coaching for women’s fast-pitch and boy’s baseball in which he also managed/sponsored. He was an avid Chicago Bears and Hawkeye fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially the Earnhardt’s.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Ruby; daughters: Theresa Talbert, Davenport, Paula (Tom) Flaugh, Rock Island; sons: Paul (Velkys) Wells, III, Panama; Brian Wells, Davenport; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and a brother, George O’Shea, Denver, CO. His parents, daughter, Sherri Lynn (June 2012) and two grandchildren preceded him in death.
