Pauline C. Jacobs

Memorial services for Pauline C. Jacobs, 90, of Davenport, will be 11:00 am on Friday at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Davenport. Private family inurnment will follow at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island. Family will greet friends on Friday from 10:00 am to service time at the Church.Pauline Caroline Novak was born on January 19, 1925 in Toulon, IL, the daughter of Albert and Kathryn (Stubbe) Novak. She married Glenn R. “Jake” Jacobs on September 16, 1953 in Davenport. He preceded her in death on December 2, 2008.Pauline worked at Slavens Manor for 45 years as an assistant to Mrs. Slavens. She was a long time member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Davenport.Survivors include her sons: Kenneth (Tammy) Jacobs, Michael (Linda) Jacobs all of Davenport; 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, brothers; Raymond Novak of Davenport, Lee Novak of Big Rock, IA, Richard Novak of Aurora, CO and caregiver; Bev Lindemann of Davenport.She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Glenn, and sister, Ione Broderick .In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Mark Lutheran Church or the Clarissa C.
