With profound sadness, we announce the passing of an extraordinary individual, whose kindness, compassion, and generosity inspired countless lives. Our beloved mother and dear friend went home to be with Jesus on January 12, 2025, at the age of 70. Despite her courageous battle with COPD and other health challenges, she remained a shining example of strength, resilience, and unwavering optimism, touching the hearts of everyone she met. Her legacy will forever be etched in our hearts, and she will always be our hero.
Penny is now at peace, reunited with her loving family members, including her mother, father, sister, brothers, friends, and others, and leaves behind a legacy of love through her children, Christopher Phillips, Jimmy Phillips, Mindy Essex, Ronald Essex, Brianna Shea Parks, and Jeffrey McConnell, as well as 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and one surviving brother Tommie Wright.
