Phyllis M. Miller

Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at the Runge Mortuary & Crematory, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest in Durant Cemetery. Phyllis M. Arp was born on July 12, 1928, in Davenport, IA, to Arnold and Mabel (Roehlk) Arp. She attended schools in Maysville and Davenport. She married the love of her life, Wallace “Wally” Miller on May 1, 1949, in Davenport, IA. He passed away on February 17, 2022.

Phyllis was a strong, loving, kind, generous woman who loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She enjoyed going to flea markets for collectibles, going to the beach, and especially traveling with her husband.

Surviving are her children, Bonnie (Randy) Meyer, New Liberty, IA, Barry (Diana) Miller, East Moline, IL, Beverly (Patrick) Ryan, Davenport, IA, and Bradley (Pam) Miller, Calamus, IA; 17 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 30 great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley (Richard) Fidler, West Des Moines, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lester Arp; sisters, Lenora (Wayne) Paulson and Jean (Lorraine) Rock; and her grandson, Thomas.
