Randal S. Dirks

Randy was born on February 18, 1959 in Estherville, Iowa to Raymond and Doris Dirks. He married Becky Collier of Le Claire in 1978. They enjoyed many years of marriage until her passing in 2020. Randy was a laborer by trade, he worked for Alcoa for most of his 40 year long career. He retired in 2020. He enjoyed what he called “the simple life” including camping, kayaking, fishing, brewing beer, riding his motorcycle, music and the beach. Most of all he loved his family. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, love of family and his loyalty to friends.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, DJ (Jodi) Dirks, Troy (Britt) Dirks, Andy (Holly) Dirks, Amy (Ryan) Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Tyler, Kolton, Landon, Ellie, Riley, Autumn; mother, Doris Dirks; sisters, Lorri Ellis, Cindy Atwood; mother in law, Sandy Collier and brother in law, Terry (Lori) Collier. He is also survived by many friends that were like family.

Randy is preceded in death by his wife; his father and father in law, Don Collier.
