Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport in charge of arrangements.Raymond passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at the Iowa City, IA Veteran’s Medical Center.Raymond Wellesley Pries was born on July 6, 1924 in Davenport, the son of William and Elsie (Causby) Pries. He served in the U.S Army Air Force during World War II. He later attained his pilot’s license and was a member of the Civil Air Patrol in Rock Island.Survivors include his sister; Marian (Philip) Hintermeister of Davenport, granddaughters; Josie (Chad) Anderson, Chrissy (Doug) Leaf, Shelley (Arnie) Nusbaum all of Rock Falls, IL, nieces; Carolyn Pries of Jacksonville, FL, Linda (Gary) Kellogg of Rochester, MN, Brenda (Mike) Blossom of Bettendorf, IA, Sharon (Alex) Van Wyk of Altoona, IA, Shelia (Lyall) Sutton of Peoria, IL, nephews; Larry (Mary) Pries of Maricopa, AZ, Charles Hintermeister of Des Moines, IA, and Gary (Lori) Hintermeister of Bettendorf, IA.
