Ricci was born February 2nd, 1959, in Davenport, Iowa to the late Carole Washburn. A devoted and loving son, he was also close with his grandparents, the late Gilbert and Rosie, and was also a caring older sibling to his brothers Randy and Rory. He married the love his life, his wife Carrie Ryan, in 1989, and together they raised their children Austyn and Kacie in Columbus, Ohio.
Athletics was one of his deepest passions, whether as competitor, coach, or fan. In high school and college he excelled at running track, and later as an adult he carried this passion forward as a track and field coach at Columbus State Community College. He was a lifelong fan of the St Louis Cardinals and Oakland Raiders, among many other teams.
Ricci lived with an intense joy of life, and among the many things he loved were music, a good story told over a strong whiskey, home improvement projects, and time spent with family.
He is survived by his wife Carrie and children Austyn and Kacie; by his brothers Randy (Katherine) Washburn and Rory (Ann) Washburn and his nephew Ryan and niece Reagan; by his mother and father in law Bob (Wanda) Ryan and sister-in-law Lisa Ryan-Hutton and her daughter Jennifer; and by the many who knew and loved him.
