

Richard Michael Corbin, 74, of Davenport, died on July 19, 2026, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Per his wishes, funeral rites will be accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 5th. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to Folds of Honor or Humane Society of Scott County.
Rick was born July 2, 1952 in Davenport to parents Richard and Eve (Shewry) Corbin. He graduated from Central High School in 1970 and obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa. He joined the Army in 1972 and continued to serve in the Army Reserves from 1979 to 1998. He earned the rank of Major and served in the Ordnance Corps, working on the logistics and maintenance of weapons and vehicles.
After the Army, Rick worked for the family floor covering store, Heritage House Floor & Wall Shop for 17 years. After they closed, he became an independent flooring inspector until he retired in 2014.
Rick was very proud of servicing in the Army, but his greatest source of pride was raising two wonderful children.
Rick is survived by his children Kelly (Gary) Aharrah and Nicholas (Chasity) Corbin, his sister Sheri (Warren) Power, one niece, one nephew, three great-nieces, and one great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
