Richard "Dick" Ray Funk, affectionately known to his family as "Dickey Bird", 64, passed away October 19, 2024, with family by his side at Genesis Medical Center in Davenport, IA.

Richard was born June 22, 1960, in Ottumwa, Iowa to Donna (Carmen) Funk and Richard Samuel Funk.

Dickey Bird enjoyed thrifting for old radios and televisions to fix and tinker with and playing jokes on his family and caretaker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donna and Richard Funk, sisters Martha Fiscella, Marla Thomas, Marlana Funk, and brother Sidney Funk. He is survived by sisters, Marsha (Raul) Reyes Winchester, CA, and Margo Kimbrough, Davenport, IA. Survivors also include many loving nieces and nephews, cousins, long time roommate Dale, and caretaker Lindsey.

Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Thursday October 24, 2024, at Runge Mortuary & Crematory, Davenport, IA, with a 1:00 p.m. funeral service to follow.
