Richard T. Karr

Funeral services for Richard Karr, 67, of Davenport will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 9, 2011 at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary chapel in Davenport. The family will greet friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will be at a later date. Mr. Karr passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at his residence in Davenport. Richard Thomas Karr was born in Moline, IL on December 5, 1943, the son of Edward and Muriel (Cridge) Karr. He attended Augustana College and St. Ambrose University. On September 25, 1970 he married RoseAnn Carmichael in Davenport. He later married Susan French on June 17, 1982 in Colorado Springs, CO. Mr. Karr retired from Farmall in Rock Island, IL. He was a member of the Roosevelt Lodge, Edwards Congregational Church, the Knights Templar, the Scottish Rite, and the Mohammed Shriners. He is survived by his Wife: Susan of Davenport; three Sons: Charles (Crystal) Karr of Malta Bend, MO, Edward (Toni) Karr of Seattle, WA, Kristopher (Alicia) Kelley of Muscatine, IA; a Daughter: Aileen Kelley of Davenport, IA; and 5 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Willis, and a nephew, Tom Willis. Memorials may be directed to the family, they request no statuary please.
