Richard William Nicholson

Richard “Rich” W. Nicholson, 70 of Davenport, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at the University of Iowa Hospitals. Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Living Hope Church, 216 W Hayes Street, Davenport. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Rich was born on December 6, 1952 in Davenport to Donald and Beverly (Hall) Nicholson. He was united in marriage to Teresa Smith in June of 1998. Rich retired from Tooley Painting after 30 years of employment.

Rich was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to work in his vegetable garden. Rich loved to spend time with his family and will be dearly missed by all.

Survivors include his loving wife Terri; children, Michele (Travis) Gay, Jessica (Darron Pettis) Jackson, Kevin (Jenna) Nicholson, Shane Nicholson, Skyler Giebelstein, Cody Nicholson, Christina Eddelman and Barbara Boyd; 19 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren; siblings, Randy, Candy, Penny, Dan and Gloria.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Rodney Jones and sister, Sharon Fox.
