Richard Patton Spray

Richard Patton Spray, 82, of Davenport, died Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Trinity Bettendorf. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 1:00 pm at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Richard was born February 21, 1930 in New Castle, PA, the son of Roy M. and Ruth (Patton) Spray. He married Rachel Mae (Johnson) Bushnell in 1967; she had eight children: Pat, Dave, Jim, Andrea, Dennis, Nancy, Lorrie and Mike; she preceded him in death in 1979. He married Bertha Jean (De Wild) Aldridge on October 2, 1982 in Knoxville, IA; she has three children: Michael (Donna) Aldridge, Rebecca (Ralph) Woeckener and William (Resa) Aldridge. He served in the Army for over twenty years as a medic, serving both stateside and overseas prior to his retirement.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Jean, Davenport; his step children and numerous step grandchildren and a sister, Ruth. His parents preceded him in death.
