Rick died Wednesday, August 5th, 2026, at Harmony Utica Ridge surrounded with love from his son, daughter, and close friends.
Rickey "Rick" Dale Chase was born October 18th, 1953, in Davenport, Iowa, son of Mary Roll Chase and James Albert Chase. He proudly served as an officer of the Davenport Police Department for 42 years.
More than anything he loved his son William and daughter Amanda. He devoted his life to raising and providing for them. His favorite things to do involved spending time with his friends. He valued hanging at his friend Cam Dragoo’s house, swimming with his dog Shadow, cleaning the pool, and soaking in the hot tub. He had fun traveling with friends; particularly to Chicago and Marco Island. He enjoyed watching Hawkeye football and playing golf. Most, he loved spending quality time with his best friend; his son, Will.
Rickey Chase was survived by his children William Daniel Chase and Amanda Chase Suda; daughter-in-law Faris Chase and son-in-law Hiroshi Suda; three granddaughters Penelope, Marigold, and Ophelia Chase; and cousin (brother) Billy Prunchak.
He was preceded in death by siblings Mary, Carl, Charlie, Bill, and Dorothy Prunchak; as well as his dearest friend Cam Dragoo.
