Ruth and family,
I am so, so sorry for Rick's passing. My best friend growing up from our pre-teen years to rooming together in our first year of college, and beyond. We had such great times together having fun and occasionally running into typical teenager trouble...there are so many stories. I am hurting and have an empty feeling inside of me even though we hadn't been in contact much the last number of years. I am so sorry for your loss of a husband, father, and grandfather. I know that words cannot take away your pain, but please take comfort in knowing that people care. Blessings and God's peace to the Dykes family.

Ruth and girls: I am so sorry to hear of Rick’s passing. Him and I spent time on the phone two weeks ago talking about the good times at Alcoa, Our mutual respect for each other, and of course laughter. I’m forever grateful him and I had a chance to talk. I’ll always remember Ricky. He is a great man and friend. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
