Bob was born on November 22, 1947 to Leonard Ralph and Frances Lucille (Wooder) France. He attended Central High School in Davenport, graduating with the class of 1966. Bob worked at Kartridge Pak for over 40 years. Bob was a QC cruiser member, an avid golfer, hunter, trap shooter, fisherman, and wood worker.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, his siblings Ella Mae Faranda and Donald France and brother-in-law Kwang Kim. He is survived by his wife On Yon “Kim” France; his siblings Shirley (Richard) Toyne, Ronald (Arlene) France; his sons Robert (Wendy) France, Jr. and John (Marieta) France; very close sister-in-law Chong Kim; Niece Yong (Ashley) Welch, Nephews Chae (Susan) Kim and Jason Kim; as well as his grandchildren Tim (Danielle) Walsh, Jomarie (Matthew) Lunn, Jamie (James) Conti and Todd France. Additionally, he is survived by his great grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, and his beloved dogs Molly and Daisy.
Family time was important to Bob as he would often spend time with his loving wife and dogs. He loved talking with his sons and visiting any chance he could. His wife of 51 years, Kim, was his best friend and for Bob, time with his loved ones was time well spent. He relished in cruising with the QC Cruisers and took pride in his many hot rods and thoroughly enjoyed their meet ups.
The family invites you to a celebration of Bob’s life will be 12:00 PM on September 4, 2024 at The Runge Mortuary, Davenport, IA. Visitation will be 10:00 am to 12:00 PM.
