

Robert L. Bousselot, 93, of Davenport, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Illini Restorative Care in Silvis. Funeral services will be held at 10AM, Saturday, September 26, 2015 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel with visitation held one hour prior. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Robert was born March 8, 1922 in DeWitt, IA; the son of Ralph and Marjorie (Smith) Bousselot. He was a veteran with the Army Air Corps during WWII, serving in the Pacific Theatre (Guam). He was awarded two battle stars for his combat. He was united in marriage to Lois Holmes on March 8, 1944 in Oberlin, KS; she preceded him in death on July 25, 2006.
He had worked as an operating engineer in the Quad Cities, retiring in 1984. He was a member of Local #150 for 62 years. He had been a member of the Masonic Lodge #37 and the Davenport American Legion.
Those left to honor his memory include his children: Robert C. (Tina), Davenport; Randy L., Moline, IL; Vickie (Gary) Swift, East Moline and Linda (Mike) Cathcart, East Moline, IL; 19 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, Robert is preceded in death by a daughter Bonnie Leonhardt, grandson, Bradley Buck and brother Donald Bousselot.
