

He passed away on August 22nd, 2021. Bob spent much of his childhood living in California with his loving grandparents before attending Ohio State University. He proudly served in the United States Navy with Fighter Squadron 121. In Bob’s post-military career, he continued his service to the United States as a pilot for various government agencies. He was devoted to his country for his entire life. He was a true hero.
Bob was an adventurous man and in his younger years enjoyed drag racing multiple types of cars, motorcycles, and boating. He was a lifelong golfer and Ohio State’s biggest fan. Bob was an avid aviation enthusiast for most of his post-military career, including time as a commercial pilot, owner of an aerobatics team, and charter pilot. In his later years, Bob spent time driving both semis and charter buses. He particularly enjoyed the charter trips and the opportunities they gave him to meet new people.
The most important part of Bob’s life was his family. Bob was a dedicated family man, spending 26 years with his wife Linda, his children Heather and Ryan, and his niece and nephew Lindsay and Brock. Being a grandpa was one of the highlights of his life and he adored Roycen and Harper. Bob was blessed to have many wonderful friends and neighbors. He was never happier than when surrounded by family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Runge Mortuary on Friday, September 10, 2021 at noon in the Runge Mortuary Chapel.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Heather (Mark Walker) Reeves and Ryan (Ashley) Reeves; grandchildren, Roycen and Harper Reeves; niece and nephew, Lindsay (Chris) Poulos and Brock Rezabek; great-nephews Brayden, Jax, and Renner Poulos.
Burial will be immediately following the funeral services at the Rock Island National Cemetery. A memorial fund will be established at a later date.
